Graydon Peterson Quartet
Bassist Graydon Peterson is one of the backbones of the twin cities jazz scene. Known as a player who excels at many styles, he has worked with the top singers and modern jazz groups in the region, and toured the US. In 2012, Peterson formed his own quartet with Adam Meckler (trumpet), Vinnie Rose (guitar), and Adrian Suarez (drums), performing his unique originals which combine odd meters, beautiful and angular melodies, and hard grooves only a bassist could create. Peterson released his self-titled debut album on SPR in 2013.In 2015, keyboardist Joe Strachan took over for Rose, but not before Peterson recorded a followup album called DUETS, written for every two-person permutation of the group, new and old.
